Amazon.co.uk today have had a massive MP3 sale, with lots of albums going for 29p. Some great stuff, much of which I’ve bought.
But, there’s no indie stuff there, largely because none of us manage our own catalogues on there, so can’t change prices at will – CDBaby or ReverbNation or whoever did the deal, and we don’t get the vary it, generally.
However, we do on bandcamp, on cdbaby itself or on our own self-hosted MP3 sites.
This thread is for the posting of links to indie MP3 albums, which have to be under £3 UK or $5 US.
Here are the rules – read them or I’ll delete it. This is not a thread for FREE DOWNLOADS. It’s a sale-bin. If you’re on bandcamp and have pay-what-you-like or whatever, that’s fine, but if it’s just free, it doesn’t qualify… for now.
Add the link, a small description, then go and pimp the thread, so we all benefit. Hurrah!
I’ll kick things off with my 2004 album, Grace And Gratitude – it’s lots of people’s favourite album of mine, and is currently only $3.50 on CDbaby.
Click here to head over there and download Grace And Gratitude for £3.50.
Now it’s your turn… (after you’ve bought G+G 😉 )
Great idea, Steve.
This Is Not An Album, my collection of pop songs for geeks, is on sale for £2.99!!! I use the beautiful BandCamp, so you can listen as much as you like (and even download the 128k MP3 to try out on your iPod).
Yay for independent music! Looking forward to spending a tenner on four brilliant albums – keep them coming. 😉
thanks Ben – I bought ‘This Is Not An Album’ on the day it became available, and love it 🙂 Good stuff.
Caught Ben’s tweet this morning and thought this was a great idea. Here’s one of my earlier albums at a bargain $3.99 and sold through mysongstore (or you can use the others if you must 😉
Sounds like a great idea.
We have two albums for the sale, both at £2.99:-
Eponymous Debut – http://lunacyboard.bandcamp.com/album/eponymous-debut
Stockholm (instrumental) – http://lunacyboard.bandcamp.com/album/stockholm
Hey SBS, great idea this. Hope and Social have put their debut album “Architect of This Church” out from their website on a pay what you want basis.
If you want to know about the album, please read this:
To get the album for as little as 1p goto:
We hope you love it.
seconded on the great idea…!
Escape Act’s debut album is available on our Bandcamp page, for $3 whole dollars! http://escapeact.bandcamp.com/album/loosely-based-on-fiction
Nice one Steve! Shall tweet this thread!
I’ve got an EP on BandCamp for sale with 4 tracks on it. Like Ben, the 128k mp3’s can be downloaded and tried out to your heart’s content, and the EP is pay-what-you-like starting at a mere £1 🙂
Hey Steve, thanks for the opportunity!
Well then – our latest, H-Town, is still all jacked-up; however, our first two releases – one full, one EP – are available for $1usd in mp3 download form on CDBAby.
Get some Triangle Exception!! -> http://cdbaby.com/all/trianglex

Brilliant as usual, Mr. Lawson.
During June, I’ve got all my MP3s on sale over at CD Baby, where my most recent EP, “Happenstance”, is currently priced at $4. Cheers!
Thanks for the forum, Steve. My band Half Zaftig’s 2007 full-length “Life Like Luster” is on Bandcamp for the “pay what you will” rate. Folks who liked my first solo record “Any Raw Flesh?” have said that LLL is the record they were waiting for from me since then. Hope you enjoy!
(Oh and – “Any Raw Flesh?” is on bandcamp as well: http://shawnfarley.bandcamp.com/album/any-raw-flesh)
Chuck Hoffman “Title Of Photograph: Filled With Dread in Los Angeles”
Stylistically confused indie noise pop punk. Pay-what-you-like, or don’t.
What a great idea.
Here is my contribution. I have just finished uploading my first album “Drifter” to http://ianbland.bandcamp.com/album/drifter
Until June 30 The MP3 album is $5 Australian for download.
Thanks for the opportunity Steve.
Eleventh’d on the great idea, Steve! 🙂
I’ve got “Elysian Peace”, described by one reviewer as “The ultimate relaxation/meditation disc” available at http://billcanty.bandcamp.com/ or via http://www.billcanty.com/elysian.htm for, oh… I dunno… let’s make it US$4, shall we? For that price you get 2 versions: the “separated” version, where each track is musically self-contained, and the “continuous” version, where you can join all 12 tracks together to make one seamless hour of music just like on the CD.
Thanks, Steve, for the opportunity. Enjoy!
